Map of the Trails
Trails
The larger our membership base, the easier it is to not only maintain our lease and insurance but also continue to expand and enhance our trails and help raise the profile of mountain biking in Saratoga and it''s surrounding area. Everything you contribute to SMBA goes right into the club, to improve your overall SMBA experience, even including things like the existence of this web site. We prefer our members use the gravel access road located up the hill on Daniels, this access is noted on the trail map with the large gold star.
Weekly Group Rides occur every Tuesday at 6pm and every Thursday at 6:30pm. All group rides meet in the clearing. You can also easily link up with other members to ride in groups at more varied times through the use of our forums. Most rides generally will last for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Bee Trail
Level: Intermediate - This trail is one of the original SMBA trails and offers something for everyone. You will find sections that are both rocky and technical and sections that are fast and flowing.
Dam Trail
Level: Advanced - This trail goes out to the beaver dam, making it the trail that is furthest from the trailhead. It features small amounts of climbing mixed with technical descents and a few natural stunts. Expect this trail to take an our to two hours or more depending upon your skill level.
107
Level: Intermediate - This trail starts off from the powerlines at pole 107. Fun and flowing, it features several small rock gardens and is considered by many riders to be an excellent warmup for their rides.
High Noon
Level: Advanced - This trail was cut to replace a section of the Bee Trail that as logged. High Noon is similar in many aspects to the Bee Trail, with short steep climbs and a variety of technical sections. One of the many excellent features on High Noon is a section that starts with a fast descent, transitions into a bridge section, and then turns sharply into a short and challenging limb...and that''s a description that works when riding the trail in both directions!
High Roller
Level: Intermediate - A fun little fast trail where you gain and lose elevation quickly, so keep your momentum up.
Sybil
Level: Advanced - One of the trickiest trails on the SMBA property to ride cleanly, Sybil is very technical with many short and steep climbs and descents.
Pilgrim
Level: Beginner - This short trail is a great chance for beginners to warm up and more experienced riders to hone their skills. The wider singletrack includes several logs upon which to practice your obstacle-clearance abilities
